Responsibilities

Coordinates workflow of department and reviews assignments to ensure efficiency.
Responsible for overall department efficiency including QA reporting, orientation of new techs, education and training.
Assists as staff member when needed.
Performs education and training in all areas within Sterile Processing Department under the guidance of the CPD Manager.
Practices and oversees compliance with Universal Precautions in preparation for disinfection or sterilization.
Coordinates the assignment of tasks and helps resolve technical and operational problems.
Evaluates the impact of solutions to ensure goals are achieved.
Assists in planning, attending, and presenting at monthly staff meetings.
Provides effective direction, guidance, and leadership of staff for effective teamwork and motivation.
Participates in Quality Assurance/Performance Improvement program.
Identifies problems and effectively communicates to Manager in order to meet customer needs.
Participates in ordering and inventory maintenance of Central Services supplies and equipment.
Embraces technological solutions to work processes and practices.
Fosters a “Culture of Safety” through personal ownership and commitment to a safe environment.
Participates in effective human resource management within the department to achieve and maintain quality services and positive employee relations.

Required

Minimum Education Of a High School Diploma Is Required CRCST preferred
Three to five (3-5) years in Central Services and related experience is highly desirable
VDL - Valid Driver’s License
Experience in Central Services department which includes, but is not limited to, knowledge of surgical instrumentation, case cart assembly and aseptic technique preferred
Must be able to lead others to attain department goals
Basic Computer Skills Required
Must be able to communicate effectively and possess excellent customer service skills

Preferred

One To Two (1-2) Years’ Supervisory Experience Preferred
