Responsibilities

Lead the development, establishment, and application of measures and best practices for people growth and development.

Build out the metrics that matter to determine promotion or mobility readiness.

Plan and allocate resources to effectively meet departmental productivity and quality goals.

Drive business decisions that are financially responsible, accountable, justifiable, and aligned to the execution of our vision and strategy.

Establish and maintain relevant controls and feedback systems to monitor and ensure the success of the team.

Required

5+ years of managing and developing (ideally service oriented!) Engineering teams

10+ years of hands-on Engineering experience delivering enterprise-class, highly distributed, software solutions in Agile environments with an ability to influence, build credibility and bring a strong POV to Engineering groups

An innate personal interest in technology

Strong attention to detail and extremely well-organized

Ability to manage multiple projects with competing priorities

Demonstrated passion for excellence with respect to Engineering services, education, and support

Ability to present complex technical information in a clear and concise manner to executives and non-technical leaders

Provide rough estimates to tasks at a glance and guide conversations with engineers to establish more detailed estimates

Strong interpersonal skills, demonstrating an ability to work well with and enthusiastically influence teams & stakeholders
