Responsibilities

Maintains a detailed inventory of software and hardware assets and applies the information gathered in making decisions about IT-related purchases and redistribution.

Follows processes, policies, standards, systems, and measurements to effectively manage the daily and long-term IT asset portfolio with regard to cost, control, risk, compliance, business performance objectives, and IT Governance.

Updates systems and records of information such as licenses, service agreements, and warranties for software and hardware.

Analyzes spend optimization, ensures compliance, and accelerates procurement cycles.

Maintains accurate inventories and performs regular reconciliations of what is owned, what is installed, and what is recorded in the system of record. Ensures records are managed through the collection of key attributes.

Assists with changes to hardware/software assets in accordance with the IT Change Management and/or other authoritative processes.

Ensures proper management of budget, and financial approval for all new software and renewals.

Experience in related fieldAsset ManagementFinancial Management

Required

BS/BA in a related discipline

2-5 years of experience in a related field OR MS/MA and generally 2-4 years of experience in a related field

Certification is required in some areas

Preferred

Bachelor’s degree in business administration, computer science, management information systems, or a related field or equivalent work experience

Three to Five years of experience in asset management with exposure to financial management of assets
