Responsibilities

Lead the Product Engineering efforts for new product development projects from conception through production launch, following the Newell Brands Product Development Process.

Support existing products through cost and quality improvement efforts.

Work effectively with cross-functional teams including Marketing, Industrial Design, Manufacturing, Quality, Finance, and Supply Chain.

Develop and maintain product cost models throughout project stages, ensuring product features, quality, and reliability at best cost.

Partner with Industrial Design, Design Engineering, and Manufacturing to develop product architecture suitable for manufacturing processes.

Develop and deploy test programs to ensure product meets performance targets and is production-ready.

Lead Engineering Change Management process for supported product lines.

Required

Bachelor’s degree in Engineering required.

0-2 years of experience in related field.

Demonstrates Strong understanding of basic Mechanical Engineering, Math, Physics, and Material Science

Demonstrates strong knowledge of problem-solving techniques and methodologies.

Demonstrates hands-on design/prototyping

Demonstrates minor CAD modeling experience (Creo preferred).

Demonstrates knowledge of applicable manufacturing processes and equipment.

Basic understanding of the materials used in our products.

Basic understanding of how to identify types of materials used in manufacturing.

Ability to understand the functional and aesthetic requirements of product design.

Demonstrates strong interpersonal skills.

Demonstrates ability to perform in a team environment.
