Responsibilities

Lead cross-functional continuous improvement projects to rapidly improve manufacturing processes for the company’s critical product lines

Develop strategies and business processes to grow and scale manufacturing, quality, and supply chain operations with a focus on waste reduction, product quality improvement, productivity increase, and employee quality of life enhancement

Identify, analyze, and improve bottlenecks on the production floor and in business processes through data collection, process flows, value stream mapping, and root cause analysis

Create standards, templates, and processes to mature the organization for production operations using tools such as Lean Six Sigma, value stream mapping, PFMEAs, 8D problem solving, change control plans, etc.

Grow a company culture focused on continuous improvement. Author and facilitate training on Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, and DFM

Support factory simulation modeling and build out of future manufacturing facilities

Collaborate with a cross-functional team to brainstorm and innovate on efficient operations

Required

Bachelor's degree in engineering or operations management

5+ years' experience as an industrial, lean, continuous improvement, manufacturing, or operations engineer and/or operations leader in a production environment

Experience developing processes and procedures to transition from R&D into production

Lean Six Sigma Black Belt or Green Belt (or equivalent experience)

Proficiency in continuous improvement methods and tools such as Value Stream Mapping, Kaizen, 5S, DMAIC, etc.

Project management experience working with cross-functional teams to deliver projects with desired results within specified timelines

Experience as a project facilitator and/or trainer

Strong drive for continuous improvement and operational efficiency

High self-motivation and drive to execute quickly with excellent troubleshooting/problem-solving skills

Strong communication and collaboration

Preferred

Experience with Atlassian products including JIRA and Confluence

Experience with ERP (enterprise resource planning) and MES (manufacturing execution system) software

Perform activities such as stooping, typing, standing, sitting, or for extended periods of time

Dedication to safety to mitigate industrial hazards that may include heat, cold, noise, fumes, strong magnets, lead (Pb), high voltage, and cryogenics

Willingness to travel or work required nights/weekends/on-call occasionally
