Responsibilities

Design and build cloud applications using Java in an AWS environment.

Develop REST APIs and implement microservices architecture.

6+ years of recent Java development experience in an AWS environment

Preferred

B.S. degree in Computer Science or a similar relevant technical field

Possess a combination of the following:

5+ years of professional software development experience designing and building cloud applications

5+ years of recent experience developing REST APIs and a solid understanding of microservices architecture

At least 5 years’ experience with developing REST APIs using Java frameworks (Spring or Spring Boot) and Java 11 or Java 17

Knowledge and experience working with traditional or document databases such as Oracle, SQL Server, PostgreSQL, MongoDB, or other databases

Advanced knowledge of software design and programming principles

5+ years’ experience working in an AWS cloud environment and an advanced understanding of cloud technologies such as Docker/Kubernetes, Cloud databases, CI/CD, serverless computing etc

5+ years’ experience working with version control tools (GIT, Bitbucket)

Demonstrated experience working with the following: HTML5, JSON, XML

Able to work and collaborate remotely, be self-directed, work independently and communicate with customers in a courteous and professional manner

Experience with Automated API testing using tools such as JBehave, cucumber, or Selenium
