Responsibilities

Develop and maintain winning strategies to attract, cultivate, and steward individuals, foundations, and corporations in support of institutional Clinical and Innovation initiatives.

Collaborate with Prospect Research Manager to identify key funding sources, develop strategic plans for solicitations, and manage timelines.

Write proposals for gifts and grants from various sources.

Manage and develop relationships with foundation and corporate contacts.

Utilize investigative and problem-solving skills in a high-pressure environment.

Synthesize large volumes of information into coherent, well-written documents.

Partner with diverse group of administrators and academic leaders.

Negotiate issues, resolve problems, and demonstrate strong influencing skills.

Required

Bachelor’s Degree or higher from a regionally accredited college or university

Minimum of 5-8 years of directly related experience

Development and writing experience required

Knowledge of the range of resources available to development researchers, including tools and vendors, desired

Demonstrated ability to work in a high-pressure, fast-paced environment

Excellent analytical, organizational, interpersonal, oral and written communication skills, including a high level of attention to detail and active listening skills, required

Must be able to problem-solve, troubleshoot, and work independently in a dynamic team environment

Demonstrated ability to effectively partner with a diverse group of administrators and academic leaders

Must be able to negotiate issues, resolve problems and have strong influencing skills

The successful candidate must be a strategic thinker, effective in moving strategic agendas, politically savvy, ensure the utmost discretion in all matters, as well as possess an ability to work well with all levels of management, both internally and externally

Must be flexible in nature, have a sound judgment with a collaborative style that fosters teamwork and cooperation beyond the immediate team to the broader organization

Must have a passion for excellent customer service and commitment to exceptional quality

Maintain portfolio activity in MSM database

Preferred

Masters or Terminal Degree from a regionally accredited college of university
