Responsibilities
Responsible for project and people management including the technical assessment of all assigned projects. Will successfully lead the team to deliver key programs or projects per associated quality, time and cost constraints
Drives functional excellence initiatives, high quality functional deliverables, and ensures technical excellence for product or technical development
Prepare and deliver annual budgets (headcount, expense and capital) for final review and approval
Provide strategic direction and guides the team in complex or difficult situations, removes obstacles, assigns appropriate resources and interfaces with other functions to assist with issue resolution.
Provides guidance and training to staff, assists subordinates in attaining career goals, motivates individuals to achieve results, and recruits and maintains a high quality staff.
Determines appropriate staff levels, schedules and resources.
Responsible for the implementation, enforcement and compliance of all relevant quality, regulatory and safety standards.
Specifically responsible for audits and compliance for nondestructive inspection (NDI) per NADCAP NAS 410 and for configuration management AS9100.
Mange and designate the Nondestructive Inspection (NDI) Responsible Level III who is responsible for qualification and certification of NDI personnel and NDI equipment.
Ensures effective acquisition of new NDI equipment for throughput, cost and reliability.
Maintain compliant and efficient configuration management processes that include training and guidance for the site. Coordinate process, software and resources with global systems and other sites.
Manage resources to support program schedules, balancing needs, priorities and cost.
Proven experience in Lean Manufacturing, and mentoring/coaching others in rapid problem solving and improvement.
Establish priorities imparting a sense of urgency and importance to effectively deliver new products per quality, cost and time constraints.
Ensures that projects are completed on schedule and within budget. Drive accountability to timelines and metrics throughout the organization.
Provide detailed tooling and equipment cost estimates for new projects
Frequent coordination with internal personnel at various management levels concerning operations, scheduling or specific phases of projects or programs. Conducts briefings and participates in technical meetings for internal and external representatives concerning specific operations.
Frequently is involved simultaneously in several programs. Ensures product and customer service quality. Resolves issues and/or team conflicts. Will have primary responsibility for program growth and developing current customer base.

Required
8+ years of technical program-related experience in a government contracting environment.
BS Degree in Engineering, science or a related field.
3 years of experience in the management of technical personnel and programs.
As a Department of Defense Contractor we are required to hire US Persons.
Preferred
Lean/Six Sigma training a plus
Design background a plus
