Responsibilities

Design and lead technical/applied research projects to achieve goals laid out in Research and Technology Roadmaps

Evaluate relevant state of the art knowledge for business potential and translate into projects and existing product/technology areas

Build prototypes using state-of-the-art machine learning tools for life sciences applications

Implement data science-best practices for developing and deploying high-quality reliable machine learning solutions

Advise project leads and upper management on project status

Work with a global team on respective technology areas

Maintain and build strong relationships with internal and external collaborators

Required

Ph.D. in Computer Science, Machine Learning, Biotech, Engineering, Physics, or related disciplines/equivalent research experience, preferably with a focus on life science or biotechnology applications

2+ years of experience in industry using modern deep learning frameworks (such as PyTorch or Tensorflow) and with modern computer vision methodology (Object Detection/Tracking or 3D reconstruction)

Minimum of 2+ years of experience working with real-world data is required, experience working with microscopy images is a plus

Strong programming knowledge in Python is required, including knowledge of common data science tools such as Numpy, Pandas and Matplotlib, and version control using Git.
