Responsibilities

Consistently meet quarterly productivity standard of ≥95%

Consistently meet quarterly quality standard of ≥95%

Consistently complete quarterly mandatory coding educations of 15 CEU (Formal/Informal)

Code/charge outpatient records (Ambulatory Surgery, Observation, Emergency, and Ancillary) according to coding guidelines and conventions

Provide education and training regarding coding guidelines of specialty area to clinical and non-clinical staff

Communicate, collaborate, and act as a team player with others to ensure continuity of services

Optimize codes for reporting and generate APCs for all outpatient records

Participate in process improvement activities including assuring accounts that cannot be coded are held for valid reasons and documented accurately utilizing Unbilled Reason Codes (URCs)/GQ Flags

Attend all required staff meetings
