Responsibilities

Facilitating all Scrum events (Sprint Planning, Daily Standups, Sprint Reviews, and Sprint Retrospectives) to ensure adherence to Scrum principles and practices.
Coaching the team on Scrum methodologies, roles, and ceremonies, ensuring everyone understands their responsibilities and commitments.
Working with the Product Owner to manage the product backlog, prioritize user stories, and ensure the team focuses on the most valuable features.
Removing impediments blocking the team's progress, whether related to technical issues, dependencies, or organizational challenges.
Creating a collaborative and transparent working environment where team members feel empowered to voice their opinions, share knowledge, and raise concerns.
Facilitating effective communication within the team and with stakeholders, ensuring alignment on project goals, priorities, and timelines.
Coordinating activities and dependencies across multiple sites, addressing communication barriers or time zone differences, and identifying potential risks and dependencies early in the project lifecycle.
Monitoring project metrics and key performance indicators (KPIs), such as sprint velocity and burn-down charts, to identify areas of concern and take corrective actions as needed.
Encouraging a culture of continuous improvement within the team by facilitating regular retrospectives and soliciting feedback.
Working with the team to implement process improvements and best practices to increase efficiency, quality, and overall team satisfaction.
Providing guidance and support in adopting new tools, technologies, and methodologies that can enhance the team's productivity and effectiveness.
Acting as a liaison between the development team and stakeholders to ensure stakeholders are informed about project progress, changes, and potential risks.
Managing stakeholder expectations by providing realistic timelines and managing scope changes effectively.
Collaborating with the development team to ensure the product meets quality standards and acceptance criteria defined by the Product Owner.
Monitoring progress during sprints and coordinating with QA to plan and execute testing activities.
Maintaining project documentation, including sprint plans, user stories, and release notes, to ensure project information is well-documented and accessible to all team members.
Providing regular updates to stakeholders on project status, progress, and any issues or risks that may impact delivery.

Required

Experience working as a Scrum Master or in a similar role
Strong understanding of Scrum principles, practices, and methodologies
Ability to facilitate Scrum events (Sprint Planning, Daily Standups, Sprint Reviews, Sprint Retrospectives)
Experience managing product backlogs and prioritizing user stories
Ability to remove impediments blocking team progress
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Experience in coordinating activities across multiple sites
Monitoring project metrics and KPIs (sprint velocity, burn-down charts)
Experience in facilitating retrospectives and implementing process improvements
Knowledge of project documentation practices (sprint plans, user stories, release notes)

Preferred

Certification as a Scrum Master (e.g., CSM)
Experience in Agile software development practices
Experience in working with QA teams for testing activities
Experience in managing stakeholder expectations and scope changes
