Responsibilities

Hire, develop and grow engineering talent by providing career growth support, effective feedback, and performance reviews

Lead and drive team ceremonies and strategic roadmapping, while maintaining a high level of collaboration and communication

Partner with business stakeholders & product managers to form requirements, priorities, and processes

Foster culture of continuous engineering improvement through mentoring, feedback, and metrics

Provide technical guidance, mentoring, and can articulate risks and benefits to other less experienced members of the team

Drive engineering and operational excellence by demonstrating strong ownership of metrics and goal-setting grounded in data; implement best practices in testing, documentation, and observability

Required

Well-established software development experience

Strong communicator

Motivated to achieve results in a fast-paced environment

History of delivering well-architected, highly-available, and flexible technology platforms

Experience with modern object-oriented languages, design patterns, and best practices

Experience in building cloud-native applications

Able to build, manage, and work with multiple teams to achieve defined goals

Curious about technology and believe in constant learning

Preferred

Experience in all aspects of software engineering, including coding, maintenance, architecture, and design

Strong written and verbal communication skills

Experience in mentoring and providing technical guidance to less experienced team members

Experience in driving engineering and operational excellence through metrics and goal-setting

Experience in fostering a culture of continuous engineering improvement

Experience in leading software engineering teams in design, development, testing, and deployment

Experience in partnering with business stakeholders and product managers to form requirements, priorities, and processes
