Responsibilities
Work with fellow tooling designers, mechanical engineers, controls engineers, machine builders, and outside vendors to produce quality tooling designs.
Support a growing demand for tooling design along with some mechanical engineering design and documentary requirements.
Create detail drawings to ASME standards and utilize SolidWorks or Inventor 3D parametric modeling software.
Conceptualize, design, and communicate technical information while resolving technical challenges.
Interface with engineering staff, purchasing group, shop personnel, and outside vendors.
Mentor team members with related experience and contribute to the selection of various materials for tooling designs.
Ensure compliance with FDA regulations on CGMP and apply knowledge of fabrication methods and processes.

Required
Excellent organizational and communication skills, with ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects
Experience with ERP and CRM systems
Self-directed, works well in team environment
Proficient with SolidWorks or Inventor 3D parametric modeling software
Create Detail drawings to ASME standards
Proficient with Microsoft Office products
Working knowledge of thin gauge thermoform Tooling designs inclusive of but not limited to molds, sealing platens, perf dies and cutting dies
Be proficient in high precision close tolerance Tooling designs
Be able to conceptualize, design and communicate technical information
Be innovative, resourceful, and disciplined when resolving technical challenges
Work in a fast-paced collaborative team environment
Have experience in the selection of various materials to be used in Tooling designs
Have strong knowledge base of fabrication methods and processes such as milling, turning, electrostatic discharge machining, plating, and engineered coatings
Be proficient in the metric system of measurement
Interface with engineering staff, purchasing group, shop personnel and outside vendors
Must be able to mentor team members with related experience
Knowledge of FDA regulations on CGMP and their application in machine design a plus
Bachelor of Science Mechanical Engineering
Minimum of 2 years’ experience with custom engineering design, preferably in the Pharmaceutical industry and of molded parts
Experience in the pharmaceutical packaging industry a plus
Working knowledge of SolidWorks or Inventor 3D parametric model software a plus
Be proficient in the metric system of measurement
Be proficient AutoCAD and Microsoft Office products
Must be a proven hands-on team player driven to meet company goals
