Responsibilities
Performs and coordinates all activities related to welding procedure development.
Defines the requirements and the selection of capital equipment.
Prepares, monitors, and controls budgets and schedules, reporting on technical, cost, and schedule status.
Guides others to develop creative and innovative solutions to problems.
Prepares and presents project results and recommendations to external clients and internal management.
Reviews and advises on client specifications as they apply to welding procedure quotes and development.
Advises management on new developments and evolving organizational needs and required technical competencies.
Applies knowledge of engineering principles to guide and review project direction and outcomes to research, plan, analyze, design, and develop innovative solutions to highly complex technical problems of significant breadth.
Works collaboratively with Integrated Engineering to define the requirements and the selection of capital equipment and develops processes which represent the most cost-effective means to meet client requirements.

Required
Bachelor’s Degree in Welding Engineering or Welding Engineering Technology from an ABET accredited college.
Minimum 10 years of experience functioning as a welding engineer.
Oil & Gas industry experience preferred.
Strong leadership and people development skills.
Strong communication skills enabling effective transfer of information across all levels of management and staff.
Ability to organize and prioritize work to successfully meet deadlines in a rapidly changing environment.
Ability to read, understand and apply client specifications as they relate to welding procedures.
Excellent interpersonal & relationship building skills.
Experience with manual, semi-automatic and robotic welding processes with a strong understanding of weld equipment, techniques and capabilities.
