Responsibilities

Use business requirements, visitor data and usability findings to develop scenarios, use cases and high-level requirements

Capacity to own and drive the design process and independently define requirements, scope projects and prioritize tasks

Quickly iterate on multiple interactive design solutions and informally validate with users

Incorporate stakeholder feedback, visitor data and usability findings into conceptual wireframes, high-fidelity mockups and functional prototypes

Present design work to multiple teams for review and feedback

Advocate for your design solutions by putting them in context of business and user goals

Work alongside engineers and product managers throughout all stages of the production cycle

Handle multiple projects in a fast-paced, sometimes ambiguous environment

Required

8+ years of design experience

Have an available online portfolio

Experience with design tools such as Photoshop, Illustrator and InDesign and prototyping in HTML, JavaScript, CSS, Ajax

Bachelor's degree in design, human-computer interaction (HCI), or equivalent professional experience

Fluency in best practices for web-based information architecture and design, as well as strong knowledge of usability principles and techniques

Experience working on a collaborative team and directly with developers for design implementation

Preferred

Experience applying scrum to visual or UX design processes

Experience with UX design of complex workflows

A clean sense of design aesthetics, and a natural propensity towards simplification over complication

Familiarity with the technical considerations needed when designing

Experience designing customer facing products

Retail/e-commerce experience

Experience conducting informal user research methods to validate designs with users
