Responsibilities

Help guide the future of the WebMD Health Services data platform, including architecture design and implementation

Monitor and improve data services, including solving reliability and data quality problems across the data platform

Help establish and implement best practices around data acquisition, storage, monitoring, logging, and access across the data platform

Data modeling design for enterprise data warehousing and reporting

Required

Self-starter mindset with the ability to lead projects, document and improve processes, and influence others

3+ years of professional experience with expertise in SQL and strong programming skills in Python

3+ years of experience with big data architecture and data pipelines, familiarity with Airflow is preferred

1+ year of production support experience in a cloud environment (AWS, Google Cloud, Microsoft Azure, etc.), familiarity with Azure is preferred

1+ year of experience performance tuning spark or managed spark (e.g., Databricks) environments for analytics and reporting workloads

1+ year of experience performance tuning SQL Server environments for analytics and reporting workloads

Experience with DevOps environments and practices, including CI/CD, infrastructure as code, etc.

Excellent troubleshooting skills – able to quickly read code and debug live servers to triage underlying issues

Preferred

Familiarity with Airflow

Familiarity with Azure

Familiarity with Docker and Kubernetes
