Responsibilities

Assist in the preparation of the annual budget and quarterly forecasts

Identify, investigate, and explain variances to budget, forecast, and prior years

Develop detailed, insightful, and actionable analyses to help management gain perspective and support decision-making

Analyze production data from agency management systems to help build monthly revenue bridges

Monitor producer compensation, and regularly conduct producer true-ups and production bonus calculations

Assist accounting team with monthly close procedures to ensure proper accounting of revenue and producer compensation line items

Develop new processes and tools to drive scalable analysis and insights

Generate various ad hoc Excel analysis, extensive knowledge of pivot tables, and LOOKUP/SUMIF formulas as required

Required

5+ years of experience in finance, FP&A, financial forecasting, or modeling

Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, accounting, or related field, or equivalent related work or military experience

Advanced Excel skills are essential. Must have strong knowledge of pivot tables, XLOOKUP, VLOOKUP, SUMIF, and other formulas

Experience with financial reporting, forecasting, and budgeting required

Understanding of GAAP and revenue recognition

Preferred

Insurance industry experience, is preferred but not required

Knowledge of Oracle products (Fusion, EPBCS), is preferred but not required

Knowledge of Sagitta AMS, is preferred but not required

Advanced degrees or certifications in finance or accounting, are a plus

Knowledge of PowerBi, is a plus
