Responsibilities

Develop high yield, cost-efficient, manufacturable processes for target production volumes
Provide subject matter expertise for process development for free space and fiber-coupled optical alignment and measurement
Guide the design of fixtures required to assemble, align, and test optomechanical systems
Provide data-based evidence that developed processes meet product requirements through design of experiments and statistical process control
Generate documentation of the process development lifecycle for each project
Create work instructions and provide training on resultant processes to Manufacturing personnel
Troubleshoot equipment and optical workstations to resolve production-impacting issues
Define and implement preventive maintenance protocols for optical equipment

Required

M.S. in Optical Science/Engineering or Physics
5 years of hands-on experience aligning and testing optical systems on optical breadboards
3 years of programming experience
3 years of manufacturing experience
Excellent English communication skills and willingness to learn
