Responsibilities
Conduct research in the areas of new material composition, processing, and joining techniques
Collaborate with engineers on material and coating/surface treatment selection
Determine appropriate test validation methods based on standards and design requirements
Conduct physical, chemical, and environmental tests to validate material performance
Perform failure analysis on samples from testing and field applications
Prepare and present professional engineering test reports
Maintain records and files to support tests and equipment
Maintain a safe testing environment and comply with regulations
Participate in equipment calibration, maintenance, and 5S activities
Perform any other job duties as assigned

Required
B.S. degree in Material Science and Engineering
Experience in materials testing laboratory environment, with additional experience in corrosion testing and analysis preferred
Computer skills required in Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint
Preferred
Familiar with data acquisition software and components
