Responsibilities

Applies a basic understanding of how design influences product cost to meet cost targets

Recommends solutions and opportunities to encourage ideation and technical sharing

Reviews competitive products and patents for benchmarking and analysis

Utilizes statistical analysis to ensure high quality and product performance

Partners with quality to ensure ongoing quality conformance for new products

Assists in various engineering activities like DFMEA, PFMEA, root cause analysis, and test development

Develops optimal product test plans, analyzes test results, and summarizes technical concepts

Applies understanding of product specifications, material selection, and manufacturing processes for NPD

Recommends product architecture and ensures robust product designs

May require some travel

Required

Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering required

Strong knowledge of problem-solving techniques and methodologies

Demonstrates strong Static/Dynamic analytical skills

Strong interpersonal, communication, and project management skills

Excellent presentation skills required, along with superior organization and attention to detail

Preferred

0-2 years of product development experience preferred

Previous hands-on prototyping/design validation model building knowledge preferred

Previous CAD modeling experience (Creo preferred) a plus

Candidate must be able to work as a team player and have demonstrated leadership ability

Previous hands-on prototyping design/validation model building knowledge preferred

Some travel may be required
