Responsibilities

Work with an engineering team to gather and define project requirements.
Design, code, debug, and verify C++ Linux software applications, API’s, and scripts.
Maintain and update existing software projects to support new features.
Write technical documentation for software and API’s.
Provide inter-departmental and intra-departmental support.
Identify opportunities for process or software improvements.
Collaborate with team members to implement enhancements.
Participate in retrospectives and feedback sessions.

Required

Extensive background in systems using Linux as the primary O.S.
Proficient in programming languages: C, C++, Linux Shell Scripting such as bash, Python
Experience in writing robust code that is very reliable and is used in a production environment.
Experience with standard MS Office Suite including Outlook, Word, and Excel.
Excellent time management, organizational, and communication skills.
Ability to prioritize work according to given deadlines.
Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or related field required.

Preferred

3 - 5 years of relevant work experience is preferred.
Experience with Debian or Ubuntu Linux is preferred.
Experience with socket level programming is preferred.
Experience with vision systems using G-streamer is a plus.
Experience with QT and QML is a plus.
Experience with networking is a plus.
