Responsibilities

Own the full lifecycle of statistical and machine learning model development

Improve efficiency in areas like credit risk, fraud, marketing, and collections by deploying modeling solutions

Work with Legal and Compliance on model review and approval

Conduct regular model performance tracking and monitoring

Explore datasets, looking for insights, performing analysis, and comparing lift between models

Engage with cross-functional teams to translate business questions into statistical and machine learning paradigms

Summarize findings and results clearly and concisely to inform stakeholders

Research and develop new methods and tools to potentially improve the business

Adhere to quality assurance standards, documentation standards, using version control, and code repositories

Required

BS or higher in a quantitative discipline (Statistics, mathematics, qualitative social science, operation management, finance, physics) or equivalent working experience

2+ years of hands-on experience with data science and statistical modeling, credit risk/underwriting experience highly preferred

Strong machine learning and statistics track record and expertise on Regression Methods, Classification Methods, Clustering, Neural Networks, Unsupervised Learning Methods, GBM, Xgboost Etc.

Familiarity with Python, SQL, SnowFlake, Git

Solid analytical skills and an understanding of how to utilize data to target improvements, solve problems, and provide data-driven insights

Strong business acumen with ability to translate analytical efforts to business results

Strong organization skills and the ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in written

Exceptional problem-solving skills and ability to work effectively with minimal

Comfortable working both independently and in a team environment
