Responsibilities

Analytics Engineering Expertise: Responsible for moving and transforming data to be easily analyzed, visualized, and acted upon. Manipulate data through cleaning, conversion, and modeling. Develop and implement solutions to ensure data readiness for analytics. Mentor other engineers.

Cross-Team Collaboration: Collaborate with peers and departments to develop analytics engineering strategies supporting engagement goals and client needs.

Project Delivery: Ensure timely and within budget delivery of large or complex analytics engineering projects.

Required

Expert proficiency with data transformation tools (e.g., dbt)

Expert proficiency in data modeling approaches and philosophies (e.g., Kimball, OBT)

Expert proficiency with at least one cloud data warehouse (e.g., Snowflake)

Expert proficiency with version control and git

Knowledge of common data integration patterns (e.g., CDC, ELT, etc.)

Knowledge of common data integration / orchestration platforms (e.g., Fivetran, Azure Data Factory, Apache Airflow)

Preferred

Data Analysis: You have a thorough understanding of data analysis and can identify deviations from the norm and relationships between various data points.

Data Movement: You can import large, assorted datasets from multiple sources into a single storage medium, wherein you understand event-driven architectures and asynchronous pub/sub design patterns.
