Responsibilities
Own overall process flow, yield, and performance of waveguide R&D projects
Present results and make pivotal decisions/recommendations to technical program management and senior technology and business leaders
Performs feasibility studies and collaborates with the R&D team to develop process and metrology technology readiness plans to meet program deliverables
Plans and conducts experiments to fully characterize the process throughout the development cycle
Analyze test data and work with technical owners to identify the root cause of waveguide and process performance issues and drive performance improvements to meet challenging timelines
Own engineering projects in waveguide mastering, fabrication, and optical metrology to deliver product quality and improve waveguide performance and yield
Support the development of business processes to improve throughput and outcomes of projects in the future
Drive continuous improvement in development processes and build infrastructure for the waveguide R&D team

Required
7+ years of industry experience in optical components or sub-systems
MS or Ph.D. in engineering, optics, physics, or related fields
Ability to tackle and understand complex systems and problems that span multiple disciplines
Ability to demonstrate statistical data analysis skills
Experience developing custom data analysis
Knowledge of image analysis and methods of taking measurements from images
Excellent problem-solving and communication skills
Ability to work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment
