Responsibilities
Collaborate with a cross-functional team to define product requirements and translate them into effective design solutions for new products focused on order management and booking management tools.
Develop and maintain a cohesive design strategy that aligns with Flexport’s design system.
Conduct user research on handling supplier data, packing list information, and supply chain strategy to gather insights and understand user needs, behaviors, and pain points.
Create user personas, journey maps, and wireframes to guide the design process.
Develop high-fidelity mockups and prototypes to visualize design concepts both for stakeholder collaboration, and engineering implementation; collaborate with the engineering team to ensure accurate implementation of designs.
Plan and conduct usability testing sessions to validate design concepts and identify areas for improvement.
Analyze feedback and data from usability tests to iterate on and refine designs.
Present design ideas and rationale effectively to stakeholders including executive team members.

Required
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Design, Human-Computer Interaction, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
7+ years of experience in product design, with a focus on user experience and interface design; experience with enterprise software a plus.
Proven experience designing complex data-driven products or applications.
Experience working in a cross-functional team including engineers and business stakeholders.
Proficiency in design tools such as Sketch, Figma, Adobe Creative Suite, or similar.
Experience with prototyping tools and usability testing methodologies.
Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to articulate design decisions clearly.
Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
A 'compliance first' attitude to keep our regulators happy and enthusiastic about Flexport since we operate in a heavily regulated industry.
Preferred
Experience with front-end development technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript) is a plus.
Knowledge of the logistics industry or manufacturing.
