Responsibilities
Develop web applications that power hybrid automated and operator-led collection systems.
Contribute across the stack, including web frontend, backend APIs, and databases.
Maintain best practices for software development, deployment processes, documentation, and coding standards.
Discuss and distribute knowledge, technical concepts, and ideas within the organization.
Perform performance analysis and monitoring.

Required
5+ years software engineering experience
Experience building web applications
Experience with React
Experience with SQL & relational databases
Software engineering experience: modern software development practices and tools, distributed systems, database systems, performance tuning
Strong appetite for learning and working with technologies used by other engineering teams within the company
Bachelor’s in computer science or equivalent experience
Curiosity and strong desire to learn and improve.
Social skills, being able to act as a facilitator, can balance enabling others with individual contributions.
Time management and asynchronous communication skills relevant for a remote-first engineering organization.
Enthusiasm and ability to work collaboratively within a team.
Excellent spoken and written English.
Preferred
Experience with TypeScript
Experience with GraphQL
Experience with Three.js, HTML5 Video, and/or Canvas
Experience with Rust, C# or Kotlin
Experience with ffmpeg
Experience building real-time, interactive web frontend experiences
