Responsibilities
This person will own the Avalara “Corporate Compendium” or slide library and keep information up to date.
Maintain consistency and accuracy of the “Why Avalara” deck.
Own the corporate template and keep it updated.
Set up an SLA for a quick-turn PPT deck consultancy.
Understand design differences from decks coming from different stakeholders.
Drive quality and consistency of all PowerPoint decks used throughout the company.
Take direction from multiple stakeholders and determine the level of support needed.
Develop a strong understanding of Avalara’s go-to-market story and products.
Lead and mentor designers in PPT best practices and Avalara presentation design.
Stay informed on trends and maintain best practices in PowerPoint design.
Manage and delegate responsibilities to other PowerPoint production designers.
Develop a service that exceeds internal customer expectations in design quality and turnaround time.

Required
5+ years managing designers (ideally PowerPoint designers) in agency or corporate environments
Management of teams across geographic and backgrounds
Full design and technical expertise within PowerPoint and clear understanding of the nuances between a PowerPoint in Mac and PC environments
Proficiency in Adobe Creative Cloud
Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365 (Word, Excel, PPT, SharePoint, OneDrive, etc.)
