Responsibilities

Analyze cloud usage data to identify trends and anomalies

Develop and implement cost optimization strategies, including rightsizing instances, utilizing reserved instances, and negotiating better pricing with cloud providers

Create and maintain reports and dashboards to track cloud spending and progress towards goals

Identify and implement opportunities to automate cloud cost management tasks

Analyze and report on cloud spend trends across all cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP)

Work with stakeholders across various departments to understand their cloud usage and optimize their costs

Contribute to the development and implementation of cloud governance policies

Proactively identify and address potential cloud spending risks

Forecast cloud spending and track progress against budget

Contribute to the development and implementation of FinOps best practices within the organization

Required

Bachelor’s degree in finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field

3-5 years of experience in cloud cost management or a related field

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

Excellent communication and presentation skills

Proficiency in data analysis tools such as SQL, Looker, Power BI, or similar

Strong understanding of cloud computing concepts and technologies

Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP)

Strong understanding of cloud billing and pricing models

Preferred

Experience with cloud cost management tools

Microsoft Azure Fundamental Certification

AWS Cloud Practitioner Certification
