Responsibilities

Provide continuity in the management of the installation’s Civil Engineering functions

Serve as the Deputy Base Civil Engineer for the 9th Civil Engineer Squadron, sharing responsibility for managing the organization's activities

Operate and maintain complex infrastructure and facilities to support global combat operations

Exercise supervisory personnel management responsibilities

Conduct periodic assessments to enhance the organization’s management support capabilities

Represent the CE Squadron with various installation organizations and outside agencies

Must be able to obtain & maintain a Top Secret/Sensitive Compartmented Information (TS/SCI) security clearance

Education requirements: Degree accredited by ABET or combination of education and experience-- https://www.opm.gov/policy-data-oversight/classification-qualifications/general-schedule-qualification-standards/0800/general-engineering-series-0801/

Knowledge of a broad range of professional engineering concepts, principles, and practices; and extensive familiarity with architectural/engineering disciplines

Extensive knowledge of Base Civil Engineer mission, roles, functions, organizational structure, management, and operation of large organizations to provide high level staff guidance and participate in the development of goals, objectives, and policies

Thorough knowledge and understanding of the trades, professions, procedures, methods, equipment, materials, limitations, and applications involved in civil engineering activities

Knowledge of government contracting regulations, practices, and procedures

May be required to work extended or other than normal duty hours to include evenings and weekends and may be subject to recall

Position required the ability to obtain a Restricted Area Badge

This position has been designated for drug testing. Employee must pass initial and periodic short notice drug testing
