Responsibilities
Program Strategy and Planning: Develop and manage the strategy and roadmap for sustainability initiatives within datacenter operations, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and environmental sustainability targets.
Project Management: Lead the planning, execution, and successful completion of projects focused on nature-positive and sustainable technologies. Manage project timelines, budgets, resources, and deliverables.
Cross-functional Collaboration: Coordinate and collaborate with various teams, including engineering, operations, research, and community partners, to integrate sustainability solutions into datacenter designs and operations.
Stakeholder Communication: Serve as the primary point of contact for project stakeholders, providing regular updates on project status, risks, and opportunities to leadership and other key stakeholders.
Innovation and Integration: Drive the adoption and integration of innovative, nature-positive technologies to enhance datacenter sustainability. Work with R&D teams to translate advanced research into practical applications.
Risk Management: Identify potential project risks and develop mitigation strategies. Ensure proactive risk management throughout the project lifecycle.
Performance Tracking: Monitor and report on project performance, including key metrics related to sustainability and environmental impact. Implement continuous improvement by analyzing outcomes and applying lessons learned.
Budget and Resource Management: Oversee project budgets and resource allocation, ensuring efficient use of resources and adherence to financial constraints.
Process Improvement: Identify opportunities to enhance program management processes and methodologies. Implement best practices to improve efficiency and effectiveness in project delivery.
Regulatory Compliance: Ensure all projects comply with relevant local, national, and international regulations concerning datacenter operations and environmental impact.
Mentorship and Leadership: Mentor and guide other team members, fostering a collaborative and innovative team environment that encourages professional growth and development.

Required
Bachelor's Degree AND 4+ years experience in engineering (Civil, Environmental and/or Systems), product/technical program management, environmental science, or sustainable product development
2+ years experience managing cross-functional and/or cross-team projects
4+ years of proven experience building relationships and influencing in a matrixed organization with a focus on sustainability and/or environmental projects
Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements are required for this role
Preferred
Bachelor's Degree AND 8+ years experience in engineering (Civil, Environmental and/or Systems), product/technical program management, environmental science, or sustainable product development OR equivalent experience
6+ years experience managing cross-functional and/or cross-team projects
Experience with ecological restoration, advanced ecosystems, and nature-positive technology
Ability to deal with ambiguity, assess opportunities and develop principles to prioritize multiple strategic and tactical solution options
