Responsibilities

With mentoring, review roadway construction plans for conflicts and system maintenance needs.

Research internal records and assess system conditions for planning system facility replacements.

Coordinate workload priorities, project manpower requirements, materials procurement, etc. for project design and implementation.

Design and estimate costs for distribution system additions and modifications.

Monitor projects for actual installation versus design, create change orders, and debrief post-construction.

Prepare job completion packages for relevant departments.

Represent the Company at construction and utility meetings.

Complete other work assignments and special projects as directed.

Required

Bachelor of Science or Master’s Degree in Engineering

A general knowledge of the properties of natural gas as they relate to pressure and flow

A general knowledge of the principles which apply to gas facility excavation and construction processes

Knowledge of all applicable Federal (DOT), State (PUC and PennDOT) and local codes

Knowledge of company Mainframe computer systems, such as CICS, Design Manager, DOJM, Oracle & MapFrame

Knowledge of company policy and procedures, such as those found in the GOM and Design Manual

Familiarity with office workflow procedures and have an understanding of available resources such as maps and records, maintenance reports, timesheets, and contractor bills
