Responsibilities
Partner with the Executive Assistant to the Chairman and Publisher for administrative support, event planning, and executive meeting preparation
Handle errands, personal tasks, and welcome VIP guests
Coordinate internal awards program and manage office gifting and deliveries
Maintain office databases, handle correspondence, and manage documents
Step into the role of Executive Assistant when needed
Maintain confidentiality, manage time effectively, and prioritize requests
Embrace change, think ahead on projects, and maintain relationships with key contacts
Work collaboratively, handle problems creatively, and take instructions
Cover time off and emergency situations for the Executive Assistant
Prioritize tasks under pressure, meet deadlines, and work with all levels of staff
Preferred Qualifications: Experience in newsroom or media industry, creative problem-solving skills, passion for news and free press

Required
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent years of professional experience
1-2 years experience in an administrative or support role
A “no task too big or too small” attitude
Prioritize under pressure, and meet deadlines
Work with all levels of staff and management, external guests and vendors
Preferred
Experience in newsroom or media industry
You are one who welcomes challenges and looks for creative solutions
