Responsibilities

Participates in staff recruitment, performance assessments, training, and career development. Responsible for all headcount planning and personnel evolution for multiple areas of the engineering organization.

Create a culture of clear accountability. Empower every employee to act and engage them with a compelling mission and vision.

Cultivate and expand a high-performing engineering team, fostering leadership development and critical thinking for vendor and Principal engineering teams.

Collaborate closely with executive leadership to align technology strategies with business goals.

Consult and connect with business partners to understand business strategy and make recommendations on future technical trends/directions that encompass multiple systems and teams to meet business critical initiatives.

Collaborate across functional and organizational areas to define, prioritize and ensure implementation of specific innovations to improve technical functionality in support of business needs, efficiencies, and revenue.

Communicate technical concepts to business partners as well as business objectives to the technical team. Uses good communication skills to collaborate effectively with all collaborators including customers, senior management and other business leaders.

Ensure quality software deployments on critical applications while focusing on high availability of systems to support customer needs.

Required

Bachelor's degree in computer science, technology, engineering, or math-related field or equivalent experience

10+ years of relevant experience

Previous success in leading and mentoring senior technical leaders and managers

Record of accomplishment of developing high-performing teams

Ability to set and implement a strategic vision aligning with organizational goals and driving technological innovation

Skilled in leading organizational change, particularly in scaling teams, integrating modern cloud technologies, and evolving processes

Preferred

Leader of leaders experience

Retirement industry expertise

Deep knowledge of modern engineering practices, technologies, and methodologies with a strong technical background

Ability to foster a culture of innovation, encouraging creative problem-solving and continuous improvement
