Responsibilities

Perform fundamental corporate credit research and financial analysis of business-critical counterparties.

Build out counterparty-specific coverage, including ongoing monitoring of existing exposures and risks.

Lead due diligence of counterparty opportunities including researching financial institutions, reviewing key factors including financial performance, competitive position, etc...

Develop financial models and relative value analysis.

Communicate views orally and in writing to the product and risk leadership teams in a timely fashion.

Prepare sector overviews, company reports and quarterly earnings reviews.

Maintain productive relationships with senior management and key external contacts for our counterparties to help inform decisions.

Provide insights and support to drive ad-hoc projects.

Required

Bachelor's Degree or (HS or GED with 4 additional years of relevant experience)

3-7 years of relevant credit research experience in investment management, rating agency or debt capital markets/leverage finance

Preferred

7+ years of experience of relevant credit research experience in investment management, rating agency or debt capital markets/leverage finance

Passionate about markets, research and investing

Possess a growth mindset and be a team player who can adapt to change

Effective communicator who can organize, interpret, and summarize information succinctly

Ability to prioritize multiple projects, improve processes and work collaboratively with research analysts, product managers, financial risk management teams, and other key stakeholders

Strong analytical and financial modeling skills with keen attention to detail

Proficiency with Excel and Bloomberg. Knowledge of Python, SQL and other programming languages is preferred

MBA, CTP, and/or CFA is a plus
