Responsibilities

Leading design development of gas handling and upgrading facilities for projects currently under development and as well as projects in the queue.
Issuing requests for proposals (RFPs) and managing technology/vendor selection for gas handling equipment including upgrader units, flares, blowers/compressors, analyzers, etc.
Working closely with vendors, contractors, and other internal disciplines throughout project scope development and ensuring seamless integration with the balance of the plant.
Developing commissioning plans and assisting in facility commissioning and start-up.
Providing routine and ad hoc guidance to site teams operating existing RNG facilities.
Identifying, scoping, and developing improvement projects for existing systems.
Participating in commercial and regulatory discussions and keeping up to date with evolving standards.
Screening alternative and/or novel approaches to biogas utilization.

Required

Bachelor's degree in chemical engineering or similar from an accredited program
5+ years experience in designing or operating gas upgrading / renewable natural gas production facilities
Must be able to travel 25% across the US
Strong leadership skills, independent thinking, strong organizational and planning abilities and excellent analytical and problem solving skills are essential
Demonstrated excellence in written and verbal communication
Desire to continue to grow with progressive and entrepreneurial organization

Preferred

Direct experience designing and/or operating facilities in the waste processing industry - including anaerobic digestion and biogas upgrade (gas, RNG, biogas experience)
Experience in large and small companies
Experience with waste, food waste, anaerobic digestion, biogas, gas handling
Experience and comfort with multiple and blended contracting methods
