Responsibilities
Develop new approaches to complex problems and lead projects to advance technological capabilities.
Investigate and interpret technology trends, recommending best practices.
Evaluate, develop, and implement new technologies of significant scope and complexity.
Originate new documents such as protocols, reports, and specifications.
Lead cross-functional teams or projects with moderate resource requirements.
Provide supervision for technicians and/or engineers, serving as a coach and mentor.
Initiate and maintain relationships with individuals and business units.
Embed Quality within the Engineering discipline and ensure adherence to Quality Management Systems.
Support Manufacturing Excellence and Market Focused Innovation Strategies.

Required
Bachelor’s Degree in an engineering or related technical field
7+ years of progressive engineering and/or technically focused roles and experiences
Strong technical and problem-solving foundation
Training and certifications in problem-solving and project management methodologies such as 6-Sigma, 8D, RCA, 5-Why, Ishikawa (Fish Bone), Kepner-Tregoe, PMP
Ability to work independently and collaboratively with cross-functional teams
Ability to lead team activities and act as a coach for other associates
Clear and professional written and oral communication skills
Positive, can-do attitude with a belief that failure is not an option
Preferred
Master’s Degree or a Doctorate in an engineering or related technical field
Black belt certification in 6-Sigma
Candidates without the education requirement may be considered with 15+ years of relevant experience
