Responsibilities
Understand customer demand and technology opportunities to lead the organization forward.
Propose and analyze solutions for efficient, cost-effective, resilient, and scalable ICT designs.
Provide global vision, rationale, and recommendations for technical issues in data center ICT design.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams and lead projects for continual development and innovation of AWS’ data center designs.
Lead technical updates to global data center basis of design and project specifications.
Review business cases and analysis models to select projects and designs.
Grow and coach the engineering/architecture team for development and promotion.
Resolve escalations and facilitate high-impact issues to senior engineering and business leadership.

Required
Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Computer Science or other Related Field, or equivalent additional experience
BICSI RCDD Certification or internationally recognized equivalent (e.g. CDCDP, DCDC, etc.)
15+ years of experience with Information and Communications Technology (ICT) design for industrial, commercial, or other complex technical projects.
7+ years (ICT) design experience in Mission Critical Environments.
Ability and willingness to travel internationally/domestically.
Preferred
Professional Engineering (PE) Electrical License
Experience designing projects to comply with Intelligence Community Directive (ICD)/Intelligence Community Standard (ICS) 705 accreditation requirements.
Fluent working proficiency with AutoCAD, Revit, Bluebeam, Navisworks, MS Office Suite, SharePoint, and Procore.
Direct experience in negotiating with regulatory agencies regarding departures from building code.
Secondary understanding of physical security engineering systems, building automation systems, electrical control systems, and mechanical control systems.
