Responsibilities

Perform SOX activities focusing on revenue recognition internal control design and operating effectiveness testing.

Understand and determine scope of revenue recognition processes and coordinate with process owners, Internal Audit and External Audit.

Coordinate with process owners for the annual update of internal control documentation. Standardize the documentation across the company.

Support process owners in remediation of internal control deficiencies.

Coordinate testing with Internal Audit and External Auditors.

Participate in SOX meetings to monitor progress on schedule and remediation work.

Advise and support process owners on the financial control ramifications of process and systems changes.

Support special projects (e.g., acquisition integration and other special projects with financial reporting implications).

Evaluate, create and implement processes and controls to ensure compliance with GAAP and Itron policies.

Required

4+ years of related experience, including 2+ years in public accounting and auditing publicly owned companies

Working knowledge of ASC 606 revenue accounting standard, SOX 404 requirements and processes, and COSO internal controls framework

Strong working knowledge of business processes and controls related to the financial close process

Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
