Responsibilities
Provide overall vision and direction to the team to ensure company revenue goals and objectives are achieved.
Identify, recruit, review, and actively pursue leads to determine quality and opportunity.
Build and deepen portfolio through prospecting and relationship building.
Identify and target prospective customers by utilizing phone and email outreach campaigns.
Utilize referral sources to generate opportunities and close deals.
Focus on the continued development and market penetration of our suite of solutions.
Possess excellent knowledge of solutions offered by Signature Payments and tailor solutions to customer needs.
Partner with the agent relations team in communicating with merchants and agents via telephone and/or email.
Responsible for prospecting new business opportunities and lead generation to sign on new clients.
Conduct market research to maintain a thorough knowledge of industry trends and developments.
Provide reports on lead generation, sales closures, as necessary.
Build and sustain strong relationships with stakeholders including executive leadership and industry peers.

Required
High school diploma or GED required
5+ years of proven business development experience selling services is required; an insurance, finance, or payments industry B2B (business to business) sales background is a strong plus.
Combination of service & products sales experience will also be considered.
Excellent listening, face to face, and verbal communication skills; friendly, approachable, and professional customer service attitude.
Ability to prioritize and plan work activities; uses time efficiently in a rapidly changing environment.
Ability to work independently and exercise initiative and good judgment.
Effective and comprehensive computer skills including Microsoft Office or equivalent (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
Must have the ability to use or adapt to new computer programs, software, equipment, and/or hardware.
Must work well in a team environment, but also strong self-directed/motivation skills required.
