Responsibilities

Use of NX or MasterCam CAD/CAM/CAE program to program CNC parts

Vericut NC files maintenance and revision control on programs and setup sheets

Adjust speed and feed parameters for cutting tools for maximum tool life

Offer suggestions on drawing changes to improve manufacturability

Keep products moving and alert management when production is inhibited

Provide ideas for process improvements

Mentor machinists with programming knowledge

Turn-key part manufacturing involving planning tools, materials, programming, and machining parts for critical processes

Occasionally machine parts to assist the shop floor when machining is backlogged

Required

High school diploma or equivalency certificate

5+ years of CNC programming experience using NX or MasterCam software

Must be available for 2nd shift (3:30 PM to 2 AM)

Must be available for overtime and weekend hours

Ability to lift 25 lbs. unassisted

Ability to stand for extended periods - 8 hours min

Ability to stoop, bend, crawl, and being able to maneuver in tight spaces

Ability to work in an environment with repetitive movement, bending or twisting, using hands to handle, control, or feel objects, tools or controls, exposure to sounds and noise levels that are distracting
