Responsibilities
Serve in a lead technical role (EOR) on bridge design projects
Apply structural engineering and detailing techniques
Perform complex structural planning, analysis, design, and construction support for all structural aspects of transportation projects
Serve as a technical specialist or Project Manager on mid-size projects, and supervise more junior engineers in the performance of engineering tasks
Work on projects that typically include bridge (curved & straight steel plate/box girder and prestressed concrete), box culvert, and retaining wall design for highway projects
Perform other duties as needed

Required
BS in Civil or Structural Engineering
PE license and ability to achieve reciprocity within approximately 6 months
A minimum of 10 years of bridge design experience, including steel bridge design experience
Proven hands-on experience in all aspects and phases (from preliminary planning through construction) of bridge design projects
Proficiency using Microsoft Office Software and MicroStation
Proficiency using structural analysis programs and bridge design software
Experience managing junior staff
Must be comfortable being viewed as a technical expert in engineering analysis and design and have proven background of technical leadership on these types of projects
Excellent communication skills and working in a team environment
An attitude and commitment to being an active participant of our employee-owned culture is a must
Flexibility to perform other related duties as needed
Preferred
Master's degree in Structural Engineering
A minimum of 15 years of bridge design experience is preferred
Experience with FDOT is strongly preferred
Familiarity with engineering software packages such as: LEAP Bridge Enterprise, FB-MultiPier, AASHTOWare BrR, Midas Civil, MDX, SAP2000, Mathcad, Larsa, and CSiBridge
Experience with Design/Build projects is a plus
