Responsibilities
Lead the analysis, recommendation, and implementation of enhancements to existing workflows and processes for manufacturing and distribution
Conduct industrial engineering time studies and translate to labor standard targets for operations
Revise and maintain standard work across all major process paths within peer operations including collection of data and best practice training methods
Establish, maintain, and consistently update computer-based labor standards productivity expectations
Work with operations to establish appropriate machine speeds, scrap, and waste targets
Develop methods for tracking and reporting warehouse and manufacturing key performance indicators
Conduct labor audits and time studies to validate implemented labor standards
Train operations staff on work sampling, engineered standards, and investigation techniques
Aid in the evaluation and revision of work methods and workflow for ergonomics
Assist in the analysis and cost justification of capital project requests
Maintain inventory integrity and participate in Quality and Safety Committees
Facilitate lean events, audit for compliance, and conduct capacity analysis
Drive standardization and best practices across the supply chain through occasional travel

Required
Bachelor’s degree in industrial engineering or related field; Master’s Degree a plus.
3-5 years of experience in Industrial Engineering, automotive industry background a plus
Hands-on experience in creating and implementing engineered labor standards in manufacturing and warehousing
Strong mathematical/statistical analysis skills including statistical analysis and simulation skills.
Experience in process design, work measurement, productivity improvement, cost reduction, Kaizen, 5S, and project implementation required.
Ability to problem solve and determine root cause for quick action, temporary countermeasures, and long-term sustainable solutions.
Demonstrated ability to plan, manage and drive projects to completion accepting accountability for project progress and quality
Self-starter with demonstrated ability to work independently and with others
Strong Microsoft Word, Excel, SQL Experience with work measurement methodologies and tools
Proficient with using ERP systems, WMS a plus
Flexible to work on various shifts as needed
Excellent written, oral, and interpersonal skills
Preferred
English and Spanish fluency preferred
