Responsibilities
Lead the analysis, recommendation, and implementation of enhancements to existing workflows and processes to increase throughput, reduce cost, and improve accuracy.
Conduct industrial engineering time studies and translate them to labor standard targets for operations.
Revise and maintain standard work across all major process paths within peer operations, including collecting data and best practice training methods.
Establish, maintain, and consistently update computer-based labor standards productivity expectations.
Work with operations to establish appropriate machine speeds along with associated scrap and waste targets and reflect in BOM and standard costs.
Develop methods for tracking and reporting warehouse and manufacturing key performance indicators including productivity KPIs and planning tools.
Conduct labor audits and time studies to validate and ensure the reasonableness and soundness of all implemented labor standards.
Train operations staff on techniques of work sampling and engineered standards and development.
Aid in the evaluation and subsequent revision of all work methods and workflow for all functions to ensure they are ergonomically correct.
Help with the analysis and cost justification on capital project requests when needed.
Work with Inventory Control to maintain a high level of inventory integrity.
Participate in Quality and Safety Committees to impact respective metrics through standardization.
Work with and influence procurement and inventory teams on standardization opportunities.
Occasional travel when needed, to drive standardization and best practices across the supply chain.
Facilitate lean events and audit for compliance for Lean / 5s.
Conduct Capacity analysis for existing plant.
Other duties may be assigned.

Required
Bachelor’s degree in industrial engineering or related field; Master’s Degree a plus.
3-5 years of experience in Industrial Engineering, automotive industry background a plus
Hands-on experience in creating and implementing engineered labor standards in manufacturing and warehousing
Strong mathematical/statistical analysis skills including statistical analysis and simulation skills.
Experience in process design, work measurement, productivity improvement, cost reduction, Kaizen, 5S, and project implementation required.
Ability to problem solve and determine root cause for quick action, temporary countermeasures, and long-term sustainable solutions.
Demonstrated ability to plan, manage and drive projects to completion accepting accountability for project progress and quality
Self-starter with demonstrated ability to work independently and with others
Strong Microsoft Word, Excel, SQL Experience with work measurement methodologies and tools
Proficient with using ERP systems, WMS a plus
Flexible to work on various shifts as needed
Excellent written, oral, and interpersonal skills
Preferred
English and Spanish fluency preferred
