Responsibilities
Ensuring optimal performance of Salesforce systems and products.
Upgrading and configuring Salesforce systems for optimized integration.
Managing Salesforce roles, profiles, sharing rules, Flows, queues, and groups.
Use Data Loader to import/export data as needed.
Performing database maintenance tasks, including diagnostic tests and duplicate entry cleansing.
Evaluating and installing new Salesforce releases, as well as providing training and support.
Documenting processes, including error reports and changes to field history tables.
Preparing custom reports and dashboards for sales and other departments.
All aspects of user and license management including new user setup/deactivation, roles, profiles, permissions, public groups, and queues.
User support tickets
Salesforce configuration changes, including (but not limited to): Flows, objects, fields, page layouts, record types, custom settings, dashboards and reports
Create reports on Salesforce utilization and trending
Serve as primary system administrator for the Salesforce environment.
Focus the organization’s use of data for what best serves the mission.
Gather detailed requests for improvements or changes to the system, and implement these changes as appropriate
Automate processes using Salesforce tools such as Flow and SFDX.
Manage less complex Salesforce integrations - those not handled by a Salesforce Developer or Consultant/Partner.
Identify, install and maintain appropriate apps from AppExchange for event management, mass email, document merge, and more.
Train new users and grow the Salesforce skill set across the organization.
Document customizations made in Salesforce.
Plan upgrades, seasonal releases and long-term projects.
Able to effectively debug and resolve issues and/or defects which may be reported because of faults in the production system
Assist in writing technical approach and design documentation as required
Assist with Salesforce deployments using Flosum DevOps tool
Ensure Salesforce data backups are running correctly (Commvault)
Assist with data restores and sandbox seeding as needed

Required
5+ years of total IT systems engineering / platform ownership experience
Bachelor's degree, preferably in Computer Science, Information Technology, Computer Engineering, or related IT discipline
Core infrastructure knowledge and experience; networking, firewalls, and server management
Experience working with and managing certificates
Extensive scripting experience, understanding when to take advantage of scripting to help automate processes.
2-5 years of experience managing/owning an enterprise platform
System integration experience using integration techniques - REST, SOAP APIs, oAuth and Single Sign-On.
Knowledge of Product Development Lifecycle and DevOps Tools like GIT, JIRA etc.
Preferred
1 - 5 years of Salesforce project development experience
Strong Salesforce customization and configuration experience with Sales Cloud, Experience Cloud, Service Cloud, and Lightning
