Responsibilities
Lead the development of scalable systems to drive Babylist Health's revenue surpassing $100M in the next 3 years.
Establish as a subject matter expert in health services, actively shaping growth and scalability of services and features.
Collaborate closely with the Product team to innovate in health features, product education, and the expansion of goods and services offered through health insurance.
Provide technical leadership within the Health team, setting high standards for technical excellence, offering guidance on best practices, and actively contributing to technical planning and implementation.
Mentor team members in design and architecture planning, conduct thorough code reviews, and facilitate knowledge-sharing sessions to foster skill growth and advancement.
Demonstrate adaptability and enthusiasm for fast growth by leveraging experience in small to medium-sized startups.
Dedicated to continuous skill enhancement and passionate about elevating the capabilities of the engineers around.
Identify and lead strategic initiatives that will enhance health-related offerings as the business expands.
Collaborate with product and design teams to shape new product initiatives and implement user-friendly feature sets.
Collaborate with fellow staff-level engineers to identify and address systemic bottlenecks, design architectural enhancements, and implement them alongside the team.

Required
Comprehensive experience in testing, monitoring, and overseeing the operation of production software systems
Skilled engineer proficient in Ruby on Rails and React
Experience in e-commerce, healthcare payments, or consumer applications
Exceptional communication skills to convey technical ideas and translate complex non-technical stakeholder needs
Identifying gaps in team processes or execution and implementing improvements
Dedication to helping others, identifying growth opportunities for fellow engineers, and providing constructive feedback
High-performing engineer delivering end-to-end solutions contributing to business growth
