Responsibilities
Supervise and provide feedback to Regional Supervisors, Quality Assurance Specialist and Community Outreach and Education Coordinator.
Conduct weekly check-ins with Regional supervisors to ensure appropriate supervision and support to caseworkers.
Direct program staff efforts to ensure child welfare principles and social work best practices are central components of home study and post release services.
Provide guidance to Regional Supervisors with connecting program staff with Child Protective Services, law enforcement, and other child welfare agencies as needed.
Review and guide onboarding and training practices for new program staff to provide culturally and linguistically appropriate home study and post release services.
Ensure Regional Supervisors are supporting their teams to meet high standards of record keeping in accordance with USCRI and ORR instructions/procedures.
Develop working relationships with community service providers to address the needs of immigrant population, including advancing immigrant access and eligibility for services, resolving immigration status issues, resolving financial issues, pursuing UC legal rights, ensuring access to education, and procuring work authorization.
Participate in regular training and communication sessions with all staff including Regional Supervisors.
Assist with screening, interviewing, hiring and onboarding of new staff.
Create budget narrative.

Required
Fluency in Spanish is required; proficiency in additional languages a plus.
Must possess extensive knowledge of the local resources available to immigrant communities.
Excellent organizational, verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
Demonstrated ability to prioritize duties independently, think strategically, and multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
Must have a valid driver's license, insurance, a clean driving record, and personal transportation; position may require some local and long-distance travel with limited notice.
Dedication to the human rights of refugees, immigrants, asylum seekers and displaced people.
Work well under pressure.
Active social work licensure preferred.
At least two years of supervisory experience required.
Master's degree (MSW) or an equivalent advanced degree in a behavioral science (e.g education, psychology, sociology, criminology) or social service field is highly preferred; or a bachelor degree in one of the aforementioned sciences, plus five years of relevant employment experience that demonstrates both supervisory and case management experience.
At least three years’ experience working with unaccompanied children, immigrants, home placements, and/or child welfare required.
Demonstrated experience implementing child welfare programs and policies, evaluating child placements, conducting home study assessments and ensuring family preservation is required.
Preferred
Active social work licensure preferred.
