Responsibilities

Lead technical decisions for the HenryMeds product areas and the Android platform
Mentor other engineers and drive technical decisions
Work closely with cross-functional teams including Product, Design, Data Science, and Marketing
Assist in driving the team’s testing strategy, observability into success metrics, and codebase best practices
Triage and prioritize platform issues for incorporation into the roadmap
Champion the strategic direction and architectural vision of the Android platform
Lead and influence cross-functional teams for seamless collaboration
Prioritize and manage the Android platform backlog
Set standards for code reviews and engineering processes
Automate strategic parts of the development process
Lead Android prototyping for new HenryMeds features

Required

7+ years of experience building Android applications in Kotlin
Mastery of Android frameworks (e.g. Jetpack Compose, StoreKit)
Hands-on experience with automated testing frameworks such as Espresso and a commitment to writing tests for all code changes.
Proficiency in refactoring code with architectural patterns like MVVM
Experience working with Kotlin Coroutines and Coroutine Flows
A deep understanding of the Android SDK and platform and ongoing dedication to learning
A track record of technical leadership and exceptional problem-solving skills
You have experience with Android App Performance optimization and metrics
A track record of leading technical teams through positive change
Experience successfully advocating architecture improvements to multidisciplinary stakeholders
A solid CS fundamentals background

Preferred

Mentorship or want to transition to people management
Start-up and/or digital health are nice to have but not required
GraphQL

Espresso Experience
HIPPA and/or SOC2
