Responsibilities

Manage and develop a team conducting analytical and predictive modeling for data science initiatives.

Engage stakeholders and internal partners associated with data-driven insights and recommendations.

Identify opportunities to leverage data science for actionable insights and lead hypothesis generation for business problems.

Make decisions regarding resources, objectives, and operations of the data science team.

Collaborate with peers, colleagues, and managers to implement strategies for utilizing advanced analytic data science resources.

Provide thought leadership on data science best practices and tools.

Communicate actionable insights and recommendations to non-technical audiences.

Manage allocation of people and financial resources for the department.

Mentor and guide talent development of direct reports and assist in hiring talent.

Required

4+ years of data science experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education.

2+ years of leadership experience

Master's degree or higher in a quantitative discipline such as mathematics, statistics, engineering, physics, economics, or computer science

Preferred

Experience with SAS, Teradata, Python, PySpark, SQL, and Machine Learning (ML) and Natural Language Processing (NLP) & Large Language Model (LLM) experience.

Leads or assists on end-to-end model build efforts from discovery to deployment.

Communicates project progress and obstacles to senior leadership.

Excellent communication skills and ability to articulate complex material to a diverse audience.
