Responsibilities

Supervising live news and sports transmissions through the Eurovision Washington, DC technical operations center;
Encoding, decoding, standards converting and routing signals to distribute top-level live sports around the world by satellite and fiber;
Setting up satellite dishes to uplink and downlink news and live sports events;
Operate ASI and SRT/IP routing and decoding
Understand and be able to configure IT devices and Network Elements.
Work with a small Team of highly skilled Broadcast and IT Engineers to help Maintain, expand and support our broadcast center in Washington DC and New York City.
Be able to travel to remote site Co-location facilities to troubleshoot or expand network elements

Required

Experience as a Broadcast Network Operations Engineer
Supervising live news and sports transmissions through a technical operations center
Encoding, decoding, standards converting, and routing signals for live sports events
Setting up satellite dishes for news and live sports events
Operating ASI and SRT/IP routing and decoding
Configuring IT devices and Network Elements
Working with a team of Broadcast and IT Engineers to maintain and support broadcast centers
Ability to travel to remote site Co-location facilities for troubleshooting or network expansion
Excellent customer service skills
Ability to troubleshoot with logic and patience
Ability to work under pressure
Attention to detail
Flexibility in scheduling based on breaking news and additional coverage needs
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Telecommunications Engineering, or similar field

Preferred

Experience in IP contribution and distribution formats such as SMPTE 2110, IP Multicast streams, SRT, and Fiber optic network systems
Experience working collaboratively with geographically distributed and international teams
Additional experience in IP contribution and distribution formats such as SMPTE 2110, IP Multicast streams, SRT, and Fiber optic network systems
