Responsibilities
Perform advanced dimensional and visual inspections, first-article inspections, and maintain documentation.
Perform PPAP documentation and submission to customer requirements.
Coordinate with customers and vendors for part configuration and PPAP submissions.
Analyze failure, corrective, and preventive actions in response to customer complaints.
Facilitate root cause analysis and corrective actions across the organization.
Ensure accurate and timely inspection/calibration of monitoring and measuring devices.
Develop training programs to enhance quality awareness.
Conduct follow-up audits to verify implementation of corrective actions.
Interact with customers, manage their concerns, and oversee the corrective action process.
Liaise between Quality, Tooling, Production, and customers for effective problem-solving.
Review production processes from a quality perspective and drive necessary changes.
Serve as a backup for ISO 9001 audits, CARs, and processes.
Perform any other duties as assigned.

Required
Possess an understanding of the precision metal stamping process and precision machining and assemblies and/or a willingness to learn and grow in understanding of the company’s processes, products and operations
Must be familiar with reading blueprints including Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T)
Experience with vision systems and optical comparator and ability to use and understand precision measuring tools required
Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially in the use of Excel and Access
Ability to analyze inspection reports to determine adherence to drawings, specifications, and processing procedures
Ability to independently and cooperatively trouble-shoot and solve problems in a fast-paced environment
Ability to work collaboratively with all departments (Tooling, Production, Sales, Quality, Maintenance) and all levels of employees of the company
Ability to motivate, encourage, and coach a team to help improve productivity
Must be able to multi-task
Reliable work habits with a proven excellent attendance record
Effective communication and math skills
High School Diploma, or equivalent
Preferred
Preferred 5+ years of experience in a high precision, quality control manufacturing environment
Experienced in quality documentation such as control plans, inspection instructions, etc
Experienced in AS9100D and ISO9001
Experience with CMM programming, micrometers, calipers, optical comparators, indicators, gages, etc
Manufacturing experience preferred
Experience with CMM and vision inspection systems
Experience with tight tolerance, high precision parts
